Job Responsibilities:


Quality System Management


  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and relevant standards.
  • Manage quality documentation, internal audits, and certifications, ensuring zero non-conformance and continuous readiness for audits.
  • Lead company-wide initiatives to drive continuous improvement, standardization, and operational excellence.


Team Leadership & Development


  • Manage and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians across incoming, in-process, outgoing, and customer quality segments.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development plans to build technical competence within the QA team.
  • Set departmental KPIs and performance goals aligned with company objectives (e.g., WIGs - Wildly Important Goals).


Product Quality & Compliance


  • Oversee incoming material inspection, process quality control, final product audits, and return material analysis (RMA).
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and global 8D problem-solving for internal and external quality issues.
  • Validate quality requirements during new product introduction (APQP, PPAP), including risk assessment, FMEA, and process validation.


Customer & Supplier Quality


  • Act as the primary quality contact for customer-related matters including audits, complaints, and technical discussions.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, corrective actions, and improvement programs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 automotive customers and ensure quality requirements are consistently met.


Audit & Compliance


  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits (customer, certification bodies, regulatory).
  • Ensure timely and effective closure of audit non-conformities and customer feedback loops.


Data Analysis & Reporting


  • Analyze quality data using tools identify trends, monitor KPIs, and implement data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Promote quality awareness through visual management tools, dashboards, and regular reviews.


Requirements:


  • Fluent in Mandarin, English, Malay, due to regional team/customer interactions.
  • Extensive experience in automotive manufacturing industries.
  • Bachelor�s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering fields.
  • Certification in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, or related quality system auditing is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Management roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven track record of managing customer audits, supplier quality, and global Tier 1 client expectations.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
