- Ensure all the transactions are properly recorded and classified in the general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process.
- Assist in preparing consolidated group accounts.
- Oversee all aspects of the general ledger and ensure proper journal entries.
- Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accruals, and prepayments.
- Maintain fixed assets registers and ensure proper depreciation entries.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and processes.
- Coordinate internal auditors during audit processes.
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance assistants.
- Review junior team members' work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide training and development opportunitiesto enhance team capability.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve accounting and reporting processes.
- Support digitalization and automation initiatives in finance operations.
- Troubleshoot accounting system issues and suggest process enhancements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Audit firm experience is an added advantages.
- Proficient in Auto Count and UBS accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
