QUANTITY SURVEYOR


Job Summary:


The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in our construction projects, overseeing cost management and contractual aspects. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with project specifications.


Responsibilities:


Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and overheads.


Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial targets are met.


Contractual Negotiations: Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.


Risk Analysis: Conduct risk assessments related to costs, contracts, and project changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.


Quantity Takeoff: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and assist in the preparation of bills of quantities.


Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports for project stakeholders, providing insights into financial status and potential risks.


Change Management: Assess and manage changes to project scope, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.


Quality Assurance: Collaborate with project teams to ensure that quality standards are maintained while adhering to budgetary constraints.


Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals and resolve any cost-related issues.


Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring all projects adhere to legal standards.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and contractual negotiations within the specified sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project management.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools and applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
