The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining the optimal functionality of production equipment used in the manufacturing of battery energy storage systems. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and calibration of production equipment (e.g., laser welders, leak testers) in accordance with established checklists.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical failures; ensure on-site repairs are completed within the 4-hour MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) target.
- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and proactively initiate replenishment when stock levels are low.
- Apply proper Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during equipment servicing or interventions.
- Record detailed maintenance activities and issues in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support installation, setup, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of new machinery.
- Propose and implement equipment improvements to reduce MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) by ≥10% quarterly.
- Sound understanding of engineering machinery structure, functions, and principles.
- Hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manufacturing machinery.
- Proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) and engineering software such as CAD or SolidWorks.
- Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and understanding of electrical automation systems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
- Basic technical writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
