Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS)


Job Summary:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are looking to build a career in the construction and quantity surveying field. You will work closely with senior QS personnel and project teams to support cost planning, tendering, site measurements, and contract administration.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in cost estimation, budget planning, and feasibility studies for projects.
  • Prepare and update Bill of Quantities (BQ) and tender documentation.
  • Support the tendering process, including sourcing, evaluating, and recommending suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Assist in procurement activities, including preparation of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Monitor and track project costs, material usage, and work progress against budget.
  • Conduct site measurements and participate in site visits as required.
  • Support in preparing progress claims, interim payment applications, and payment certifications.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of variation orders and final accounts.
  • Maintain organized records of project documentation and correspondence.
  • Learn to interpret drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Stay updated with construction market prices, industry trends, and regulations.


Requirements:


  • A Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, contracts, and project workflows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ideally familiar with QS-related software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn under supervision.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in both Mandarin and English
