Qualifications & Experience


  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Able to speak in English
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the industrial construction sector, preferably on main contractor side.
  • Familiar with civil, structural, and architectural scopes in industrial facility projects.


Technical Competencies


  • Strong in quantity take offs, cost estimation, VO management, and subcontractor procurement
  • Knowledgeable in construction methods, sequencing, and market pricing
  • .Familiar with Malaysian contract standards (e.g., CIDB, SMM), and subcontracting procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD , and QS software (Glodon TAS, TRB)


Soft Skills


  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with vendors and internal teams.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement and cost tracking tasks simultaneously


Job Responsibilities å²—ä½èŒè´£


Pre-Contract Stage (Tender & Estimation)


  • Analyze tender drawings, specifications, and BOQs from clients and consultants.
  • Identify incomplete or conflicting information, highlight discrepancies, and raise tender clarifications.
  • Capture the complete scope of work required, including items not explicitly listed in the BOQ but shown in the drawings/specs.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs and assist in tender pricing.
  • Source and compile quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in v value engineering exercises to improve cost competitiveness.
  • Assist in tender submission preparation.


Post-Contract Stage (Project Execution & Procurement)


  • Prepare and submit progress claims to clients and verify claims from subcontractors.
  • Identify and evaluate variation orders (VOs) and compile necessary supporting documentation.
  • Monitor and control project costs, prepare cash flow forecasts and monthly cost reports.
  • Conduct procurement of subcontractors and suppliers:
  • Source and evaluate proposals.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Prepare award recommendations.
  • Draft and issue LOIs/LOAs.
  • Administer contracts and manage ongoing commercial communication with vendors.
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with the project, site, and commercial teams to ensure project execution aligns with budget and timeline.
  • Assist with final account preparation and project close-out
