Job Summary:


This role is responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, ensuring alignment with business strategies and fostering a compliant, engaging, and positive workplace culture. The incumbent will also handle HR-related budget planning and oversight. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and the General Manager of PSS Penang, the HR Manager will play a key leadership role in both strategic and operational HR matters.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic HR & Business Partnership


  • Serve as a key strategic partner to the plant leadership team by designing and executing HR strategies that support overall business goals.
  • Support regional HR initiatives and ensure local HR policies and procedures are aligned with global standards for improved efficiency and consistency.


HR Operations & Legal Compliance


  • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian employment laws and labor regulations across all HR practices.
  • Lead the planning, approval, and monitoring of the HR budget to ensure cost-effective execution of HR activities.
  • Manage and evaluate relationships with HR service vendors (e.g., transportation, foreign workforce housing, and management) in collaboration with the purchasing department to ensure regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.


Talent Acquisition & Performance Management


  • Oversee recruitment efforts by implementing effective sourcing strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Promote a high-performance culture through robust performance management systems, fair compensation practices, and benefits benchmarking.
  • Manage talent development and capability-building programs in collaboration with global HR teams.
  • Drive succession planning and support the career progression of key employees.


Employee Engagement & Communication


  • Lead internal communication efforts such as town halls, newsletters, and employee feedback channels to reinforce company culture and values.
  • Design and execute employee engagement initiatives to boost morale, motivation, and workplace satisfaction.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.


Job Requirements:


  • Minimum of 10 years� HR experience, including at least 3 years in a full-scope HR Manager role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor law and global HR best practices.
  • Proven track record in HR budget planning and financial oversight.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or with standards such as IATF, RBA, and ISO is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and develop the HR team while advising senior leadership.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities.
  • Proficient in English and Malay; Mandarin language ability is an added advantage.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
