Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor�s Degree in Civil Engineering(Master�s Degree is an advantage).
  • Able to speak in English and Mandarin
  • Professional Engineer (Ir.) License for Civil and Structure with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil & structural engineering, with exposure to M&E coordination.
  • Proven experience in the industrial construction sector(factories, warehouses, manufacturing plants, and heavy industrial facilities).
  • Strong background in value engineering, cost optimization, and commercial awareness for industrial projects.


Technical Skills:


  • Expertise in civil & structural design, project execution, and construction methodology for industrial buildings.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in industrial projects, including:
  • Electrical distribution & power supplyoHVAC, ventilation, and cooling systems
  • Process piping, plumbing, and drainage systems
  • Fire suppression and safety systems
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and MEP coordination tools.
  • Knowledge of industrial construction regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cost estimation, tendering strategies, and budget control for industrial projects.

Job responsibilities å²—ä½èŒè´£


Engineering Leadership & Strategic Planning


  • Lead and manage all engineering disciplines, ensuring efficient integration of C&S and M&E scopes for industrial projects.
  • Develop engineering best practices, policies, and procedures tailored for industrial construction.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Managing Director and senior leadership on technical matters.


Industrial Sector Expertise & Value Engineering


  • Apply value engineering principles to optimize structural and M&E design while reducing costs.
  • Propose cost-effective alternative materials and construction methods for industrial projects.
  • Work closely with tender and commercial teams to develop competitive proposals for industrial clients.
  • Ensure industrial projects adhere to specific industry regulations and client standards(for D&B projects).


C&S and M&E Coordination


  • Ensure seamless coordination between civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works, particularly for industrial buildings and infrastructure.
  • Review M&E layouts, electrical loads, HVAC systems, fire protection, and process piping to ensure alignment with structural elements.
  • Minimize design conflicts and ensure constructability by collaborating with architects, consultants, and contractors.


Project Management & Technical Oversight


  • Oversee designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for industrial construction projects.
  • Ensure projects are executed within budget.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, site challenges, and multidisciplinary design conflicts.


Regulatory Compliance & Industrial Standards


  • Ensure all engineering works comply with local and international industrial construction regulations such as(for D&B projects):
  • BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia)
  • CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board)
  • DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health)
  • Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) for electrical works
  • TNB, IWK, JKR, and other relevant agencies
  • Act as the Professional Engineer (PE) signatory for C&S designs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor/Lead authority submissions and approvals for industrial construction projects.


Team Leadership & Development


  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team of C&S and M&E engineers and drafters.
  • Conduct training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical workshops to improve team competency.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture within the organization.


Innovation & Technology Advancement


  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and engineering solutions for industrial projects.
  • Implement BIM (Building Information Modelling), structural analysis software, and MEP coordination tools to enhance project efficiency.
  • Study and proposed cost effective green building initiatives and sustainable design solutions in industrial developments which has green certificate requirement
