- API Development:
Build secure, scalable, and maintainable RESTful APIs using
Java (11+) and Spring Boot.- Database Integration:
Develop and optimize data access logic for
Oracle and MS SQL Server, including writing stored procedures and performance tuning.- API Documentation:
Define and maintain API contracts using
OpenAPI/Swagger for clear communication and integration.- System Design:
Participate in architectural and technical design discussions, contributing to high-level decisions.
- Service Integration:
Integrate with external systems such as
payment gateways, core business systems, and third-party APIs.- Code Quality & Mentorship:
Lead by example in writing clean, testable code. Conduct structured code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- DevOps Collaboration:
Work closely with DevOps teams to implement and maintain
CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.- Performance & Scalability:
Contribute to
performance tuning and scalability improvements across backend services.- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Experience:
Minimum
5+ years of backend development experience using Java.- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of Java 11+ and Spring Boot
- Experience working with Oracle and MS SQL Server (including stored procedures and query optimization)
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and best practices
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation
- Proficient with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
- Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to Docker and containerized deployments
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proven mentoring and coaching capabilities
- Ability to give and receive feedback through structured code reviews
