Job Summary: Consultant Obstetrician Gynecologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to female patients of all ages. Your role involves conducting examinations, diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions, providing family planning advice, offering prenatal and postnatal care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the well-being of your patients.


Key Responsibilities:


Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and Pap smears.

Evaluate and diagnose gynecological conditions, such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).


Reproductive Health and Family Planning: Provide family planning advice, including birth control options and counseling.

Perform contraceptive procedures, such as intrauterine device (IUD) insertion or sterilization surgeries.


Pregnancy Care: Obstetrician offer comprehensive prenatal care to pregnant patients, including monitoring fetal development and health.

Provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, and other aspects of a healthy pregnancy.

Conduct deliveries and perform Cesarean sections (C-sections) when necessary.


Postnatal Care: Provide postnatal care to new mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding support and postpartum check-ups.


Gynecological Procedures: Perform gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries.

Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as colposcopies and hysteroscopies.


Patient Education: Educate patients about their reproductive health, menstrual disorders, and gynecological conditions.

Discuss treatment options, potential risks, and expected outcomes with patients.


Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as obstetricians, radiologists, and oncologists, to provide comprehensive care.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases.


Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.

Ensure compliance with documentation standards and legal requirements.


Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and safety of gynecological services.

Adhere to infection control protocols.


Qualifications:


  • Medical degree (
  • Completion of a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Valid medical license and registration (NSR, APC)
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work empathetically with female patients.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient care and safety.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties and work flexible hours.
