- Conduct functional assessment to determine required therapy for basic cases
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties
- Develop and implement effective treatment programs
- Evaluate therapy progress and outcomes using selected therapy outcome measures
- Provide counselling to patients and patients� families about results of testing and recommended treatment options
- Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment
- Identify risks of patient, environments, situations and equipment
- Improve therapy by using new techniques and technologies
- Recommend preventive and corrective measures for incidents
- Suggest therapy based on evaluation of patients� needs
- Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits
- Delegate duties to support personnel as appropriate
- Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines
- Master�s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with diverse age groups
- Knowledge of various speech therapy techniques and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various speech and language disorders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs and preferences of patients
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Proficient computer skills to document therapy sessions and utilize therapy software
