Key Responsibilities:


Customer Management


  • Monitor customer forecasts to alert management of trends
  • Receive, verify, acknowledge and process customer orders
  • Monitor, analyse, and report metrics related to order fulfillment


Stock Management


  • Define and implement stock holding policies for all raw materials, components, and finished goods that minimise stock levels while avoiding delays due to stockouts.
  • Agree lead times, MOQ�s etc and input to the system
  • Define supply chain metrics and report performance as required


Vendor Management


  • Work in conjunction with Project, Strategic Purchasing and Quality for approval of suppliers for purchased items, negotiating prices and terms as necessary.
  • Maintain and develop effective supplier relationships with all suppliers and logistics partners (distributors and hauliers).
  • Regularly review the supply base to ensure that the company is using the most appropriate suppliers. Negotiate the best terms and most favourable prices.
  • Monitor supplier performance/deliveries and provide input for supplier performance review.


Production planning


  • Review sales forecasts, customer orders and stock on hand to create production plan for the facility.
  • Monitor available capacity against forecast demand, report and discuss if a problem detected.
  • Communicate production plan according to specified product responsibilities.
  • Plan requests for maintenance/repairs to production equipment.
  • Communicate exceptions to plans in an effective and timely manner.


Purchasing


  • Create purchase orders to support the production plan.
  • Follow up and monitor purchase orders status.
  • Provide support to shipping associates for logistics arrangements.


General


  • Represent Supply Chain matters in production meetings and raise or respond to issues
  • Ensure compliance with all SOPs (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, Personnel etc).
  • Provide lead times for new products.
  • Provide detailed reports / ERP queries as required by the business to support management requests.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor�s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university, OR Diploma or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in production planning, materials planning, purchasing and logistics (domestic / import / export) arrangements is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of working in a computerised ERP environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with purchasing and supply in a global operation to meet production plan is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of inventory control disciplines and best practices.
  • Familiarity with key terms and experience with inbound and outbound global logistics.
  • Good communication skills in English both written and spoken
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Computer literate
  • Team player, customer-focused and tenacious
  • Able to work with minimum supervision


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Pay: RM0.01 - RM0.02 per month
